We welcome you. Come to Crosswinds Farm where you too, can walk in the pastures midst alpacas of highest quality and in a variety of colors and bloodlines. Be prepared, while you're looking for confirmation and fiber characteristics, you'll be the recipient of love, kisses and affection like only an alpaca can give.

Tommy and I have always provided a foster home for many different animals. Various species have passed through our farm and have even settled in for the long haul. Many cats, kittens, dogs and baby rabbits in need of mothering have graced our farm. Birds needing attention like a Red Headed Pheasant, a Peacock and a pigeon (Yes, God even sent us a pigeon).  This has given us the opportunity to learn, love, and care for God's creatures. We know that God loves animals, after all he created them and us to take care of his creations. As always, we will continue our daily nurture and care for our Alpacas. Besides, think of all the love, gifts and blessings we would be missing if we didn't!

We were introduced to alpacas a year before our purchase. We studied them as best we could, becoming absorbed in all of the information that was presented to us. Alpacas seemed to be a God send to us. As much as we love animals, to be able to raise them, love them and make an excellent return on our investment, not to mention the many tax incentives offered by the Government for raising Alpacas, this appeared to be a sound investment for Tommy and I to begin utilizing the 77 acre farm we had and the aptitudes for caring for animals. We continued our prayers and asked for guidance from God. God knows when you are ready to face new challenges and accomplish goals. Before we thought we were ready, God blessed us with the opportunity to purchase part of an established Alpaca herd! All of the sudden, we became "Alpaca Farmers"...
and of course everyone said "a what farmer?".

In February, 2001, we purchased 5 pregnant females and 4 males. You might say, we jumped in feet first.  We certainly felt as though we did. We have been off and running ever since. Crosswinds Farm now maintains around 70 alpacas with sales and new births.

They say that having animals add years to our lives - we know this is true! Saying that, we are getting younger every day.  God's blessings according to Proverbs 3:9-10 are obvious in the offspring and their amazing fiber at Crosswinds Farm Alpacas.

Alpaca farming is hard work, yet extremely fulfilling. We are blessed with the opportunity to serve as role models and mentors to the many youth organizations and individuals in our area that are interested in farm life and raising alpacas. Praise God we are true alpaca farmers, full time having retired from life long careers as custom home builders and real estate brokers. the pleasure and reward received from all of our babies in the form of love, kisses and affection is priceless.
